MON, APR 11 (Day 1)
We embark on an adventure to two of the south's most beautiful and historic cities. This is a day of relaxing and getting acquainted with our traveling companions as we make our way to the Fayetteville, NC, area for our overnight. (D)

TUE, APR 12 (Day 2)
This morning we travel to Savannah, Georgia's oldest city and busiest seaport. Savannah boasts of modern-day favorites along with the elegance and charm of the old-world. This city's colorful history includes revolutionary war battles, lavish plantations, Sherman's Civil War march to the sea and devastating fires. It is the birthplace of The Girl Scouts, as well as famous politicians and movie stars. We arrive in time for lunch in one of Savannah's quaint shopping areas. This afternoon, a local guide will introduce us to the historic district's charm and grace with its stately mansions, impeccably kept gardens and tree-shaded avenues. After checking into our hotel, dinner is served at Lady & Sons Restaurant, which is the famous Paula Deen's restaurant. Overnight in Savannah. (B, D)

WED, APR 13 (Day 3) 
This morning we experience Georgia's Low Country. We will wander along its tidal waterways, revisit history at Fort Pulaski and enjoy Tybee Lighthouse, referred to as North America's most beautifully restored lighthouse. There may even be time to dig our toes in the sand of Tybee Beach, the beautiful barrier island on the Georgia Coast that ancient Indians named "salt" ("duh bee" in the old Euchee tongue), and we will make a stop to sample local "sweets." After lunch we depart for Charleston. Dinner and overnight in Charleston. (B, D)

THU, APR 14 (Day 4) 
This morning we see the sights of Charleston, a city epitomizing the graciousness of the Old South. This Atlantic coastal city is actually built on a slender peninsula. A local guide will help us explore majestic mansions, magnificent gardens and historic churches that tell Charleston's story. No visit to this city would be complete without taking in the colorful homes on Rainbow Row or viewing the harbor from The Battery. After lunch we enjoy a relax ing cruise around the harbor. Dinner includes local cuisine. Overnight in Charleston. (B, D)

FRI, APR 15 (Day 5) 
Our last sights of Charleston will be the exquisite beauty of Magnolia Gardens. We will roam its wildlife refuge and natural history sites by tram, visit the stately Civil War plantation home and amble through the 60 acres of lush gardens. This afternoon we begin our journey home. Overnight in the Fayetteville, NC area. (B, D)

MON, APR 25 (Day 1)
This is a day of travel, making appropriate stops before arriving at our beachfront hotel in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Our accommodations for the next four nights are at the Ocean Reef Resort, offering the best in top-of-the-line accommodations. Our rooms overlook the ocean, and the Ocean Reef staff will be sure to give us first-class service. (L)

TUE, APR 26 (Day 2)
The morning is free to enjoy a walk on the beach. This afternoon, we have a brief tour of Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand, learning the history of the area and the nearby sights and attractions. You will be on your own for lunch at Broadway At The Beach, an exciting venue of specialty shops and attractions, surrounding a serene lake. Next we’ll have dinner in the arena-style theatre at the Dixie Stampede, watching magnificent horses and top-notch riders thrill us with daring feats, trick riding and competitions. Overnight again at the Ocean Reef Resort. (B, D)

WED, APR 27 (Day 3)
We travel to Hopsewee Plantation, a National Historic Landmark and the birthplace of Thomas Lynch, Jr., signer of the Declaration of Independence. Here we tour the grounds of this rice plantation for a feel of the old South. Next we visit the Prince George Winyah Church, the parish church of the 1700's with original box pews and rare English-stained glass. We have time on Front Street for lunch in one of the small quaint restaurants as well as a stroll on the harbor walk overlooking the Sampit River. The small picturesque town of Georgetown is toured before dinner at the Giant Crab Seafood Buffet. To finish our day, we drive to the Myrtle Beach Convention Center for a great night of Gospel music. Tonight’s “Singing in the Sun” concert includes some of the top Christian artists. (Schedule was not released at press time.) Overnight at the Ocean Reef Resort. (B, D) 

THU, APR 28 (Day 4)
This morning, we have some free time before departing for our luncheon cruise aboard a paddle wheel-style riverboat on the Intracoastal Waterway. Enjoy the scenery and live musical entertainment. This evening, we attend a show at the Alabama Theatre. This show was voted the “#1 theater attraction by Myrtle Beach visitors, featuring the best in family entertainment.” The show has America’s favorite music—country, Broadway, bluegrass, gospel, and everything else in between. Overnight at the Ocean Reef Resort. (B, D)

THU, APR 28 (Day 1)
After lunch in Mechanicsville, Virginia, we head to Virginia Beach to the Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center. The Virginia Aquarium is one of the top facilities in the country with more than 700,000 gallons of aquariums and live animal habitats, over 300 hands-on exhibits, an outdoor aviary, ten acres of marsh habitat and a 1/3-mile nature trail. Animal highlights include sharks, sea turtles, harbor seals, river otters, stingrays and more. Dinner and overnight in Norfolk, VA. (D)

FRI, APR 29 (Day 2)
In Norfolk, we visit the Botanical Gardens, home to the largest collection of azaleas, camellias, roses and rhododendrons on the East Coast. We’ll see breathtaking displays of floral beauty in over 20 themed gardens, including a Japanese Garden, two lakes and a pond, a Renaissance Garden, a Colonial Garden, plus more. After lunch in the Waterside Pavilion, we board the “Tall Ship,” American Rover. The Rover is a beautiful sailboat whose design was inspired by 19th century cargo schooners. At 135 feet in length, with spacious topside decks and many modern amenities, she is a sight to behold. We will enjoy a 2 1/2 hour, narrated cruise of this historic and active harbor. After dinner, we attend the International Military Tattoo at Scope, the Norfolk Convention Center. We’ll thrill to the spectacle and splendor of stirring music, regimental bands, and precision drill displays of some of the world’s finest military groups in native uniforms. Overnight in Norfolk. SAT, APR 30 (Day 3)
Naval Station Norfolk is the world’s largest naval station and home port to aircraft carriers, cruisers, destroyers, large amphibious ships, submarines, supply ships, airplanes and helicopters. A navy guide will step on our motorcoach and give us a driving tour of this impressive base. After a hearty lunch in Newport News, we travel toward home. (B, L)

WED, MAY 4 (Day 1)
We get acquainted with our traveling companions, as we drive south through the Shenandoah Valley into North Carolina to our hotel in Charlotte. Our overnight accommodations for the next three nights are in Charlotte. (D)

THU, MAY 5 (Day 2)
This morning, we travel to Asheville, NC, through the Blue Ridge Mountains, to the beautiful and expansive Biltmore Estate to enjoy the 26th anniversary Festival of Flowers. The gardens cover approximately 75 acres surrounding the 250-room Biltmore House. From the front lawn to the walled garden to the Azalea garden, novice gardener or expert will be enthralled. We will marvel at the elaborate floral décor inside the Biltmore House, which includes arbors, swags, bouquets and much more. This is George and Edith Vanderbilt's family home which has 65 fireplaces, an indoor pool, a bowling alley and priceless antiques. As a French Renaissance chateau, it remains America's largest privately owned home. A buffet lunch is included at the Deer Park Restaurant, located on the premises. We return to Charlotte for our overnight. (B, L)

FRI, MAY 6 (Day 3)
Today, we will visit the Billy Graham Library. A flowing exhibit will invite you to follow One Man's Journey from the pastures and gravel roads of North Carolina; to "big tents" and arenas in America's largest cities; to stadiums, televisions, and radios across the globe. Displays of historic backdrops will alternate with multimedia screening theaters showing events and milestones of Mr. Graham's lifelong mission to tell others about the love of Christ. The Library includes a bookstore-named "Ruth's Attic" after his wife, Ruth Bell Graham, an author, poet and lover of literature-with unique gifts and Christian literature, as well as a rustic café, where we will relax and enjoy a lunch menu which includes chicken salad made with Ruth Graham's very own recipe! Before we leave, we'll tour Billy's boyhood home and the gardens where his wife, Ruth Bell Graham is buried. Then we travel to Waxhaw, NC, for a tour of JAARS (Jungle Aviation and Radio Service). This is Wycliffe's Bible Translators' training facility for pilots and mechanics for overseas missionary service. We will tour their grounds and take a peek at the aircraft they use for training sessions. When we leave JAARS, our next stop is NarroWay Productions Christian Dinner Theatre, for a delightful dinner and show. Overnight in Charlotte, NC. (B, D)

SAT, MAY 7 (Day 4)
Today, we head for home, arriving in Roanoke, VA, at lunchtime. We will tour Roanoke with a local guide with its many historic landmarks, including a 1907 fire station, a historic farmer’s market and the Tudor-style Hotel Roanoke. The afternoon and evening of travel will give us time to relax and reflect on all we have seen and enjoyed on this tour. (B, D)

(Day 2) 
This morning board a deluxe motorcoach for today's grand adventure to Valdez. Drive through the Matanuska Susitna Valley, where world record monster size vegetables grow in the 24-hour daylight. Stop by Worthington Glacier for a look at this gigantic piece of ice. Early evening arrival into Valdez, nestled between the waterfront and mountains, giving it the nickname, Alaska's Little Switzerland. Overnight in Valdez. (B, D)

(Day 3) 
Enjoy, on your own, exploration of this port community this morning with included entrance to the Valdez Museum. Today board a glacier and wildlife cruise and travel through the majestic Prince William Sound. Explore the three-mile face of the mighty Columbia Glacier and hear tales of the region as told by the Alaskan crew. Keep your eyes open for seals, sea lions, otters, whales, and puffins throughout this half-day exploration cruise. Overnight in Valdez. (CB, L)

(Day 4) 
Board the motorcoach for a journey north to the largest city in the interior, Fairbanks, known to Alaskans as the Golden Heart City. The route takes you along the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, the largest park in the U.S. and the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. Overnight in Fairbanks. (CB )

(Day 5) 
Today learn how the gold rush affected Alaska's interior on a sightseeing tour with an included visit to the University of Alaska, Fairbanks Museum. Time is available for shopping, walking or dining on your own in the downtown area. Cruise on the Chena River aboard a sternwheeler and experience the thrill of river travel. Travel back to the time when traditional riverboats plied the waterways of Alaska's interior during the late 1800's. Tonight, you will have an authentic salmon bake. Overnight in Fairbanks. (B, D)

(Day 6) 
Ride the motorcoach south to Denali National Park. Enjoy an afternoon of exploring this pristine area at your leisure by either participating in a complimentary park service activity or optional tour. There are many to choose from including mild or wild river rafting, flightseeing Mt. McKinley, a jet boat safari on the Nenana River or a visit to the award winning dog kennels of Iditarod champion, Jeff King. Tonight, partake in an optional Denali Dinner Theater. Overnight in Denali. (B)

(Day 7) 
Today travel deep into Denali National Park on the Tundra Wilderness Tour and search the pristine wilderness for bear, moose, caribou, and Dall sheep. This six to eight hour narrated journey provides insight into the animals, flora and fauna of this spectacular region. Early May & September tours are five hours due to road conditions. (Day 8) 
This morning is at your leisure for on-own-exploration. This afternoon board the world famous Alaska Railroad for the day trip to Anchorage. Traveling along the Susitna River, you may catch a glimpse of the majestic Mt. McKinley or black bear along the banks of the Susitna River. Overnight in Anchorage. (B)

(Day 9) 
Enjoy a brief city tour of Anchorage, which includes the historic downtown district. Included visit to the Alaska Native Heritage Center, a gathering place that celebrates, perpetuates and shares Alaska Native cultures. Tonight, feast on an Alaskan-style meal and share tales from the road with your traveling companions. Overnight in Anchorage. (B, D)

(Day 10) 
Your adventure comes to an end with a transfer to the airport for your flight home. On arrival, you will be transferred to Lancaster.
