We will enjoy a delicious dinner before settling in for a relaxing evening. We will spend the next four nights at this nice property in West Yarmouth, MA. (D)

TUE, JUN 15 (Day 2)
This morning, we meet our local guide for a tour of Cape Cod. Our tour will begin in the "hub" of the Cape, Hyannis. We will make stops at the Kennedy Memorial and the Korean War Memorial, drive through the village of Hyannisport and view St. Francis Xavier Church. Next, we will take a scenic drive through colonial villages filled with wonderful examples of New England architecture. We will view the Eastham Windmill and stop at the newly renovated Cape Cod National Seashore Visitor's Center. Our final destination will be in Provincetown, a unique village with a rich history that combines a love of the sea and the arts. Of special interest today is the whale watch cruise, where we will watch these gentle giants in their natural habitat. We will then travel to a fine local restaurant for a lobster dinner and then back to our hotel for another relaxing evening. (B, D)

WED, JUN 16 (Day 3)
Today, our guide will meet us to escort us to the Hy-Line Ferry. There we will board the high-speed ferry, the Little Grey Lady, which will take us to the stunning island of Nantucket. Washed by the Atlantic with beaches and water incredibly clear and sparkling, Nantucket has a history of seafaring greatness. Over 800 homes built between 1740 and 1840 by brave whaling men still stand lovingly preserved. Once on land, we will have free time to visit the shops, galleries, museums and restaurants within walking distance of the dock. Next, we will enjoy a Nantucket Island Tour to see the many delights of this charming village and enjoy dinner together. (B, D)

THU, JUN 17 (Day 4)
We head once again to the Docks where we board the ferry, this time bound for Martha’s Vineyard. Here, we’ll board a local bus for a down-island tour, where we can explore the different villages and learn about the history and lifestyles of the islanders. There will also be time for lunch and shopping in the historic whaling port of Edgartown before traveling back. Tonight a delicious lobster dinner awaits us at a well-known restaurant. (B, D)

FRI, JUN 18 (Day 5)
Our final day on this wonderful adventure takes us to Mystic Seaport—”The Museum of America and the Sea,” the nation’s leading maritime museum. You may explore American maritime history first-hand as you climb aboard historic tall ships, stroll through a recreated 19th century coastal village or watch a working preservation ship yard in action. We enjoy lunch in the area before we head for home and conclude this five-day adventure.

Today, we travel a short distance to Zion National Park. It is a place of towering sandstone cliffs, narrow slot canyons, spectacular arches, intermittent waterfalls and seeping springs. Designated in 1919, Zion is Utah's oldest national park. Zion's towers and monoliths offer a quiet grandeur. Since Zion is Utah's most heavily used park, with nearly three million visitors per year, a free shuttle transportation system is in place. This day is yours to visit, see and explore Bryce Canyon National Park. Thousands of delicately carved spires, called 'hoodoos', rise in brilliant color from the amphitheatres of Bryce. The Park does not contain one main canyon, but rather a dozen smaller ravines eroded into the east side of a ridge at the edge of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. The formations are smaller and more intricate than those at Zion. We'll drive past many of Bryce's most famous viewpoints, including Sunrise, Sunset, Rainbow, Yovimpa and Inspiration Points. Dinner and overnight in Kanab, UT. (B, D)

WED, JUN 30 (Day 5)

Our cruise takes us past the isle of Ailsa Craig, known as the stepping stone from Ireland to Scotland, on our way to the Irish coast. On our arrival in Belfast, a sightseeing tour with a local guide shows us both sides of this fascinating city, including the City Hall and Queen's University as well as the dock where the Titanic was built. Then we're on our way south, crossing the River Boyne at Drogheda and on to Dublin for two nights. (B)

Step aboard the ms Veendam for the perfect week’s holiday: conveniently sailing roundtrip from New York City, Bermuda is an enchanting island archipelago with a decidedly British flair. Here, proper business attire is Bermuda shorts, cricket is the national sport and afternoon tea goes without saying. Highlights: sunbathing on pink sand beaches; golfing a championship course; and exploring forts and historic houses.

Turning back time: St. George’s
What qualifies an entire town for UNESCO World Heritage status? For St. George’s (est. 1612), it was the charm of its stone buildings, neatly bricked streets and heraldic sights; it is the oldest continually inhabited English settlement in the New World. Our overnight here affords you the time to wander charming streets like Petticoat Alley and Old Maid’s Lane, take tea in a local shop and admire replicas of the British Crown Jewels at Fort St. Catherine.

Out and about in Hamilton
The ms Veendam serves as your hotel for two nights in the capital city of Hamilton, and from the dock, you’ll be just a few steps from bustling Front Street. To do: take a ride in a horse-drawn surrey; admire Sessions House, the seat of government since 1815; check out the splendid views from Fort Hamilton; or browse through friendly shops for handicrafts and, of course, Bermuda shorts.

Our Bermuda
In 2010, Holland America returns to Bermuda, a classic and delightful destination we first called on in 1930. To help you make the most of your time, we’ve arranged leisurely overnights in St. George’s and Hamilton, where the ms Veendam will serve as your dockside five-star hotel. Simply walk off the ship to visit all of the main sites.

We ride the Polar Bear Express through untouched wilderness to the isolated frontier settlement of Moosonee, literally the end of the line. Until the arrival of the railroad in 1932, Moosonee was an isolated frontier settlement connected to the nearest city by an 8-10 day canoe trip. Now the 187-mile trip takes just a few hours. The area's population is approximately 1,400 people, about 90% being Cree Indians. Our afternoon is spent with a local tour guide, exploring Moosonee and Moose Factory Island. We are able to see and learn the way of life in this remote area. We re-board our train and enjoy a delicious evening meal en route. Overnight in Cochrane. (B, D)

SAT, JUL 17 (Day 6)
We have a tour of the Parliament Buildings, followed by the Changing of the Guard on the front lawn of this government complex. Following a river cruise, we leave Ottawa and travel to Morrisburg, Ontario, for a visit to Upper Canada Village. This highly acclaimed 19th-century community stands as a memorial to the settlers of the Province. Costumed interpreters throughout the village demonstrate the various arts and crafts as they were practiced over 100 years ago. We spend an enjoyable afternoon here in Canada's version of Colonial Williamsburg. Dinner and overnight in Brockville, Ontario. (B, D)

SUN, JUL 18 (Day 7)
We continue southward, stopping to ascend the Hill Island Skydeck. From atop this 400-foot tower, we have a magnificent view of the St. Lawrence River and the 1000 Islands area.
