or...... Catch the excitement of a wild pony roundup! Chincoteague Wild Pony Swim & Auction These world-famous
wild ponies are rounded up on Assateague Island, made to swim the channel,
led down the main street of the town to the Carnival Grounds, and are
auctioned off - approximately 85 ponies are generally sold. A stop
at the Agricultural Research Service and Chincoteague
Pony Center is also included, as well as a guided tour of
Assateague Island.
