A Culinary Journey Through Tuscany and Florence Photo Blog
Tour Dates: October 14-22, 2025
Tour Director: Karen Bender
Tour Director Highlights: There are almost too many to write about! But here are a few:
Being able to travel with regular BNT travelers on the coach, sharing life and faither throughout.
Pasta Making Class – Our group loved the hands- on experience of the pasta making class and the incredible interesting (and funny!) chef that taught the class.
Saffron Farm – lunch and lesson in saffron production
Exploring the ancient cities of Volterra , San Gimignano and Sienna– We had awesome local guides for a walking tour of each walled town. We then had time to explore the narrow streets of each city. I was overwhelmed by the beauty and history present in each of those towns. I could have spent 3 days in San Gimignano alone!
Lake Trasimeno and Island Maggiore – we all enjoyed the boat ride across the lake to the Island, where we ate lunch and explored.
Pisa and Lucca – While Pisa is quite the tourist town, it was amazing to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the history behind it. Sitting in an outdoor café eating pizza in Italy was one of my Lucca highlights
Florence – Being able to see the statue of David in person was an unforgettable experience. Our tour guide gave us incredible history of the events that led to him being carved.
I sat much of the driving time on the coach with my phone held up to the window of the motorcoach in order to capture everything that I could in this amazing country.
