Should you find yourself in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, you can step back in time at the opulent Titanic Museum. On our recent journey, we did just that. It was fun! We had an incredible guide (now 38 years old), who has been obsessed with the Titanic since he was a young boy. He was so interesting and knowledgeable, and we learned so much on our tour.
In Asheville, NC, we visited the Biltmore Estate of George Vanderbilt. Wow—what an incredible place! It is huge, with 175,000 square feet of floor space and only 43 bathrooms!! I’m so glad I don’t have to clean them all. It is still privately owned by his family, but opened to the public as a historic house museum in the 1950’s. The surrounding rolling hills are simply beautiful. One can understand why he wanted to build his house there. We didn’t attend a ball, but if you’ve never been there, it’s worth the visit. Consider letting BNT take you there!
