Tour Director Highlights: Amazing views of God’s creative power. The Alps were beyond description, brilliant colors of blue sky, rivers and lakes, green pastures and trees, and white puffy clouds. Picturesque houses, flowers, farms, corn fields, sunflowers, cows, and church steeples around every turn. Cathedrals and castles, narrow streets, church bells, and friendly people made it easy to sense God’s presence in this serene place. Some of the highlights included a tour of Nuremberg where we viewed where Hitler paraded the troops and the trials were held, Passau with its colorful cobblestones leading to shops, and the Silent Night Memorial Chapel near Salzburg. We also enjoyed seeing where the Sound of Music was filmed. The Passion Play in Oberammergau will be a memory of a lifetime. We also toured Mad King Ludwig’s adult home of Neuschwanstein Castle, and tasted LOTS of cheese at Appenzeller Cheese Dairy. Before heading back to the USA we took a boat ride for an up close view of the Rhine Falls. This tour to Germany, Austria and Switzerland was amazing and the wonderful travelers are now our new friends.
