Tour: North & South Dakota

Highlight: We enjoyed some amazing scenery and sights as we spent time exploring North & South Dakota. Our tour began with a visit to the Moody Church in Chicago, IL – such a blessing: took a fun ride through the Lost Canyon in Wisconsin, a down-home musical evening at the Wisconsin Opry, and a quick stop at the Fargo Air Museum for the avid aviators. Then, we enjoyed a relaxing ride on the mighty Missouri River before driving on to Medora, ND, where we delighted in the lively Medora Outdoor Musical, an inspirational Gospel Brunch, the beautiful Roosevelt National Park, and a fun pitchfork steak dinner. Moving on to Bear Country in Rapid City, SD, we saw many cute bears from the safety of our motorcoach! Some of the highlights of this tour included: a fun jeep ride through Custer State Park where we enjoyed close-up views of bisons; the awesome Mount Rushmore in the afternoon and evening; and then, a drive through the very stark Badlands National Park before heading to the scenic Falls Park in Sioux Falls, SD. Following all this beautiful scenery, we traveled to Walnut Grove, MN, where we spent time learning of Laura Ingalls Wilder, her family and their challenging life out in the West. On our way home, it was fun to see the Farm Toy Museum in Dyersville, IA, the Wright Cycle Museum in Dayton OH, and finally, concluding our tour with the Dickinson Cattle Company in Barnesville, OH. It was a busy, but delightful time as we witnessed so much of God’s creation!
