Day 1 *Depart on your overnight flight to Budapest Hungary
Day 2 *Transfer to the Emerald Waterways Star-Ship, where your friendly captain and crew await to welcome you *Enjoy a folklore performance onboard and a traditional Hungarian dinner *Relax on the Sun Deck, viewing the Parliament Building aglow in nighttime splendor (D)
Day 3 *Board a coach for exploring, with guide, Budapest’s cobbled medieval quarter *See the Romanesque and Baroque architecture and the surrounding area that has been rebuilt several times, most recently following the air raids of WWII *Opt to hike to Buda Hill and explore by foot the medieval paths and alleyways around Buda Castle (B, L, D)
Day 4 *Sail into the capital of Bratislava, Slovakia *Explore, on a guided walking tour, the romantic cobblestone lanes that weave through the city, see the Slovak National Theater and a range of Gothic and Art Nouveau buildings *Embark on a guided hike to Bratislava Castle, a landmark steeped in legends and looks as though it came from the pages of a fairytale book (B, L, D)
Day 5 *Tour Vienna, Austria, known for its world-famous art exhibitions and birthplace of revolutionary breakthrough in the fields of music and psychology *See monuments and buildings of grandeur while driving along the famous Ringstrasse *Stroll, with your guide, through the city center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and marvel at the classical architectural styles of the buildings *See St. Stephen’s Cathedral and Hofburg Palace *Opt to bike along the river to Danube Island (B, L, D)
Day 6 *Discover the town of Dürnstein on your own or choose to hike to the ruins of Dürnstein Castle to view the surrounding medieval villages, rows of vines beautifully arranged in vineyards and a forested backdrop *Sail through the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Wachau Valley *Arrive in Melk for a guided tour of Melk Abbey (B, L, D)
Day 7 *Board a coach to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed center of Ceský Krumlov, a town built around a 13th-century castle *Learn how the town survived the test of time thanks to the region’s peaceful past *See the 15th-century St. Vitus’ Church and a number of High Gothic facades

Day 8 *Visit Passau, Germany, with its narrow cobblestone streets and distinctive blend of cultures *Walk throughout the town, seeing its unique historic buildings, including the Baroque St. Stephen’s Cathedral with its ornate columns and arches and the Altes Rathaus, or Town Hall (B, L, D)
Day 9 *Journey by motorcoach to Oberammergau, home to the historic Passion Play *Be inspired by this amazing event (At intermission there will be an included dinner on site.) *Transfer to your hotel, after the play, for overnight accommodations (B, D)
Day 10 *Depart for Munich, the capital of Bavaria and take in the highlights of the city *Take an orientation tour, with guide, passing landmark buildings including the National Theater, Hofbräuhaus and Cathedral, Odeonsplatz and Kalsplatz *See the Marienplatz, the city’s central square, housing City Hall and its famous glockenspiel *Enjoy the afternoon and evening at leisure (B)
