Day 1

*Arrive in Calgary, transfer to your hotel

Day 2

*Visit Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, an interpretive center and UNESCO World Heritage Site which bears witness to a custom practiced by native people of the North American plains

*Enter Waterton Lakes National Park, seeing the historic and spectacularly situated Prince of Wales Hotel

*Cross the border into Montana and Glacier National Park, an isolated location which is a haven for the gray wolf and grizzly bear

*Dine in the Park

*Overnight in Glacier National Park (B, D)

Day 3

*Travel to the heart of Glacier National Park, the Crown of the continent

*Board a 1930’s Red Jammer Touring Car for a ride of the Going-to-the-Sun Highway, acclaimed as one of the most beautiful roadways in the world. The 53-mile journey crosses the Continental Divide through Logan Pass at an elevation of 6,680 feet and includes the Weeping Wall and Bird-woman Falls.

*Overnight in Kalispell/Whitefish area (B)

Day 4

*Head through British Columbia into the heart of Canada’s great timberlands and Kootenay National Park, seeing the bright red walls of Sinclair Canyon and traveling through Radium Hot Springs

*Arrive in Banff for a three-night stay in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Banff is a resort town in the province of Alberta, located within Banff National Park with the peaks of Mt. Rundle and Mt. Cascade dominating its skyline

*Overnight in Banff (1st of 3 nights) (B)

Day 5

*Drive along much of the Icefields Parkway, situated between Lake Louise and Jasper, and considered one of the most scenic highways in the world

*View a panorama of snow-capped mountain peaks, hanging glaciers, waterfalls, canyons and often wildlife such as moose, big-horn sheep and bear

*Stop at turquoise blue Peyto Lake

*Ride in Ice Explorer on the 1,000-foot-thick Athabasca Glacier, part of the Columbia Icefield

*Have an evening on your own in the lively yet quaint downtown area on Banff Avenue

*Overnight in Banff (B)

Day 6

*See two of the crown jewels of the Canadian Rockies—Moraine Lake & Lake Louise

*View spectacular Moraine Lake and the Valley of the Ten Peaks

*Stop at the Chateau Lake Louise to explore and capture spectacular views and photos of Lake Louise and Victoria Glacier

*Take a Banff Area Tour including Mt. Rundle, Bow Falls, Tunnel Mountain and the Hoodoos

*Ride to the summit of Sulphur Mountain via the Banff Gondola and view six stunning mountain ranges and the sweeping Bow Valley before you—nothing short of breathtaking
