Walking Guide 3 requires moderate amount of walking possibly on uneven surfaces; longer and shorter days; possible air travel with long walks to terminal gates.

Travel deep into Denali National park on the Tundra wilderness Tour, searching the wilderness for bear, moose, caribou and Dall sheep and board a deluxe dome railcar to hopefully catch a glimpse of Mt. Denali.

Day 1 *Transfer from Lancaster to the airport for flight to Anchorage *Overnight in Anchorage

Day 2 *Enjoy a local city tour of Anchorage, featuring the historic downtown area, Lake Hood, Earthquake Park, learning about the 1964 Earthquake, and the Alaska Native Heritage Center *Travel south along the scenic Seward Highway to the port town of Whittier *Board your marine vessel for a journey through Prince William Sound to the town of Valdez,looking for marine animals, glaciers and towering mountains along the way *Overnight in Valdez area (B)

Day 3 *Board the motorcoach heading north to Fairbanks, known to the Alaskans as the Golden Heart City *Travel along the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, the largest park in the U.S. and the Trans-Alaska Pipeline *Overnight in Fairbanks (B)

Day 4 *Learn how the gold rush affected Alaska’s interior on a sightseeing tour and visit the Museum of the North *Shop, walk, or dine on your own in the downtown area *Cruise on the Chena River aboard a sternwheeler, experiencing the thrill of river travel *Enjoy an included authentic salmon bake *Overnight in Fairbanks (B, D)

Day 5 *Enjoy an afternoon of exploring Denali National Park at your leisure, opting for mild or wild river rafting, flight seeing, a jet boat safari on the Nenana River or visit an Iditarod champions award-winning dog kennel *Overnight in Denali (B)

Day 6 *Travel deep into Denali National Park on the Tundra Wilderness Tour, searching the wilderness for bear, moose, caribou and Dall sheep This six to eight hour journey is narrated, allowing for insight into the animals, flora and fauna of this spectacular region. Included snack on the coach. *Overnght in Denali (B + Snack)

Day 7 *Travel to the Denali Rail Depot to board a deluxe dome railcar for a scenic transfer south to the climbing town of Talkeetna *Watch for a glimpse of Mt. Denali (formerly Mt. McKinley) or black bear along the banks of the Susitna River *Arrive in Talkeetna to board your motorcoach, heading south to Anchorage *Enjoy an included closing night dinner *Overnight in Anchorage (B, D)
