Day 3
Enjoy a panoramic Rome city tour with a local guide. Highlights of the city include the Roman Forum, the Arch of Constantine, Circus Maximus, and Piazza Venezia. Next, walk in the footsteps of ancient gladiators during an in-depth visit inside the Colosseum. Later, visit St. Peter’s Basilica, see Michelangelo’s Pieta, sculpted when he was just 24 years old, as well as Bernini’s seven story bronze canopy located above the main altar. The evening is at leisure in Rome. (2nd of 3 nights) (B)

Day 4
The day is at leisure for exploring Rome. Indulge in an espresso in the Piazza Navona, shop along Via del Corso Street, or walk up the Spanish Steps. Spend the day at the Vatican Museums offering a massive collection of ancient Greek sculptures, medieval tapestries and Renaissance paintings. (3rd of 3 nights) (B)

Day 5
Journey to the Amalfi Coast, an iconic coastline of rocky beaches and towering cliffs. Stop at the Benedictine monastery of Montecassino, perched on a mountaintop that played a pivotal role in WWII. Day 6
Begin with a Sorrento Walking Tour, a coastal town facing the Bay of Naples on the Sorrentine Peninsula atop cliffs separating the town from its marinas. Enjoy a Limoncello making demonstration followed by an optional tasting. Enjoy lunch on your own and explore at your leisure. Shop along Corso Italia, Via Antonino Sersale or Via S. Nicola streets or visit Piazza Tasso, a café-lined square filled with artisan shops. (2nd of 4 nights) (B)

Day 7
Enjoy a day at leisure to explore. Opt to join the full-day excursion to the Isle of Capri ($). Board a jetfoil boat for your journey across the Bay of Naples to the Isle of Capri. Transfer to Ana Capri with free time to explore on your own or visit Villa San Michele. Later return to Capri with free time to shop, explore, and have lunch on your own. (3rd of 4 nights) (B)

Day 8
Enjoy a full day tour of the Amalfi Coast. See glamorous resorts hidden away on the spectacular corniche that winds its way past citrus plantations, vineyards, and tiny villages clinging onto jagged cliffs that plunge straight into the sea. Continue to Amalfi, named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. (4th of 4 nights) (B, D)

Travel to Pompeii, one of Italy’s most unique and famous archaeological sites, to explore an ancient community captured in time on a guided visit. Discover remarkably preserved architecture and artifacts portraying what daily life was like in this 1st-century city. Travel to Naples and enjoy a panoramic city tour seeing the Cathedral, Royal Palace, church of St. Francesco di Paula, the Town Hall Square and more. Enjoy a pizza making class and lunch.
