Day 1 *Transfer to airport for flight to New Orleans, LA, and transfer to your hotel *Meet your Tour Manager and have a welcome orientation
Day 2 *Have a guided tour of “The Big Easy,” seeing historic Jackson Square, featuring St. Louis Cathedral, the French Quarter, as well as the Garden District *Visit the New Orleans School of Cooking *Learn about Cajun cooking in a fun and informative atmosphere *Board the incredible American Queen, your home for the next seven nights (B, L, D)
Day 3 *Visit the historic sugarcane estate in the port of Nottoway, with its 1859 Greek Revival and Italianate-style mansion, the largest antebellum plantation house in the South—an experience that you will not want to pass up (B, L, D)
Day 4 *Continue down the Mississippi River to the quaint town of St. Francisville, with its beautiful plantation homes, bustling Main Street Shops *Tour Grandmother’s Buttons, a Victorian button museum and jewelry boutique, Grace Episcopal Church and the West Feliciana Historical Society Museum *Hop aboard the “Steamcoach’ which takes you back to the ship (B, L, D)
Day 5 *Enjoy a “Hop On Hop Off” day to explore Natchez, Mississippi, the center of the Antebellum South *Opt to see the Old South Trading Post and three of Natchez’s grandest Antebellum mansions, Stanton Hall, Rosalie and Magnolia Hall or visit the Museum of African American History and Culture *Choose to explore the cotton fields and cotton gin of Frogmore Plantation and beautiful Longwood Mansion (B, L, D)
Day 6 *Explore Vicksburg, MS, the “Red Carpet City” with the “Hop On Hop Off” options, including Anchuca Mansion, the Old Courthouse Museum, Bierdenham Coca Cola Museum, Vicksburg National Military Park of the “Siege of Vicksburg” (B, L, D)
Day 7 *“Hop On Hop Off” options today, of the Mississippi Delta, include Greenville History Museum and the Hebrew Union Temple, the 1927 Flood Museum and the E.E. Bass Cultural Center *Opt to visit the B.B. King Museum, which honors the “King of the Blues”, as well as the Grammy Museum (B, L, D)
Day 8 *Leisurely steam boat along the mighty Mississippi, viewing scenery glide by or enjoy the numerous activities onboard the American Queen (B, L, D)
Day 9 *Docking in Memphis, a local guide conducts a panoramic tour of the musical city *Tour Elvis Presley’s Graceland, seeing the mansion, the heart of the 14-acre estate, its living rooms, music room and “jungle” den *View the meditation garden where “The King” is laid to rest *See Elvis’s two custom airplanes, tour the Car Museum, The entertainer Career Showcase Museum, as well as the new state-of-the-art Visitor Entertainment Complex *Enjoy some of Memphis’ famous bar-be-que (B, D)
