Day 1

This morning fly to San Diego, California. After settling into accommodations, enjoy dinner with your fellow travelers. Overnight San Diego, CA (1st of 2 nights) (D)

Day 2

Embark on a guided tour of San Diego, the city where the sun always shines! Along with many other sights, see the Mission San Diego de Alcala, the first and oldest of the 21 missions established by missionaries in the 1700s. The next stop is Old Town Plaza for lunch and shopping. This afternoon, enjoy a scenic cruise viewing the North Island Naval Air Station, Harbor and Shelter Islands, the Naval Subbase and Cabrillo National Monument. (2nd of 2 nights) (B, D)

Day 3

Visit the world-famous San Diego Zoo, where you’ll find over 3,200 wild animals representing more than 800 species. Take a tram ride through the subtropical gardens that are the natural habitat for these fascinating animals. Afterward, travel to Los Angeles. Overnight Los Angeles, CA (1st of 4 nights) (B, D)

Day 4

This morning enjoy a guided tour of Los Angeles, including downtown, TCL Chinese Theatre, and Chinatown. Make a stop at the Los Angeles Farmer’s Market. This afternoon, visit the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum. Artifacts from his childhood and professional career provide physical evidence of his extraordinary life. A recreated studio booth highlights his early radio broadcasting career. Glimpse into Ronald and Nancy Reagan’s devoted marriage, a love story straight out of a Hollywood script. See a piece of the Berlin Wall and immerse yourself in Camp David and Rancho del Cielo. Board the Air Force One that served as the “Flying White House” for President Reagan and six other U.S. presidents from 1973-2001. (2nd of 4 nights) (B, D)

Day 5

Experience the one and only Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, one of the most photographed events in the world. Best of all, seats are reserved for the best viewing of this once-in-a-lifetime event. More than 60 beautifully decorated floral floats, bands from all over North America, and numerous horses regally decked out in their finest attire make up just a part of this unforgettable spectacle. A box lunch is provided today. (3rd of 4 nights) (B, L)

Day 6

Step up close and see the majestic beauty and splendor of the floral floats. After every Rose Parade, the floral masterpieces are parked along Sierra Madre and Washington Boulevards in Pasadena and exhibited for visitors to walk by and see in close detail the design and workmanship that goes into these floats. Later, drive to Santa Monica to view the beautiful beach, Pacific Ocean coastline and walk on the pier. (4th of 4 nights) (B, D)
