Day 1
Depart Lancaster and travel south to Virginia’s historic James River region. Tour the beautiful Berkeley Plantation, one of America’s most historic estates and the site of the first official Thanksgiving. Continue to Williamsburg, where you’ll enjoy a delightful dinner at the Whaling Company, known for its fresh seafood and cozy holiday atmosphere. This evening, drive through the dazzling Newport News Celebration in Lights, a milelong holiday display featuring over a million sparkling lights. Day 2
Visit Colonial Williamsburg for a guided tour of this living-history museum decked out in its Christmas best. Step back into the 18th century as costumed interpreters share stories of the holiday traditions of early America. Enjoy lunch and shopping on your own in Merchants Square. Return to your hotel to relax before tonight’s highlight — the Grand Illumination Festivities, complete with a spectacular fireworks display! Following breakfast, visit the Jamestown Settlement for a guided tour exploring America’s first permanent English colony, beautifully recreated with ships, fort, and living exhibits.
