Tour Name: Wisconsin Dells
Tour Date: June 24-29, 2024
Tour Director: Grace Heagy
Tour Director Highlights: We traveled to Wisconsin Dells to enjoy many sights and landmarks. The Wisconsin River was flowing 7 feet above normal so the power of the river was quite evident. Cambrian sandstone and water created beautiful canyons and rock formations which we enjoyed from land, boat, and carriage rides. Entertainment was provided by the Dickinson Family Band at Wisconsin Opry, Rick Wilcox’s Magic Show and Circus World acrobats.
Not to be missed in Wisconsin is a cheese shop stop and Culver’s ice cream. Lavender at New Life Lavender Farm was in full bloom where we sampled strawberry lavender lemonade and lavender lemon macarons.
Lunch at iconic Portillo’s in Chicago was a real treat. A guided boat tour provided views of the many skyscrapers in the city. Our final stop on the way home was the beautifully designed Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens. It was truly an enjoyable trip for everyone.
