Day 1 *Transfer to airport for flight to Zurich *Dinner and breakfast on flight (D)

Day 2 *Board private motorcoach and travel to Trachselwalk near Bern, Switzerland *Tour castle where Anabaptists were held and executed Surrounding Emmental forests and gorges were hiding places for Anabaptists. *Lunch on own *Drive to Langnau im Emmental to visit the Mennonite church, then continue to Bern *Visit the famous Bern bears, Old town clock tower and the gothic cathedral, Berner Münster (1400s) *Enjoy group dinner and overnight in Bern (1st of 2 nights) (B, D)

Day 3 *Travel to Erlenbach where Jakob Amman was born in 1644 and later baptized *Ride Stockhorn Mountain cable car with stunning views *Enjoy group dinner and overnight in Bern (B, D)

Day 7 *Stop at the Menno Simon Monument in Witmarsum, where Simon pastored in1533 *Travel to Pingjum and the Victorius Kerk, where Simon was assistant pastor in 1524 *Have free time and lunch, on own, in Sneek, a picturesque town *Return to hotel for group dinner and overnight (B, D)

Day 8 *Drive to Münster, Germany, to learn about the disastrous Münster Rebellion, the greatest catastrophe in early Anabaptist history *See the Lamberti Church Tower, where Anabaptist leaders were imprisoned in cages hung high on the church’s outside walls This uprising led Menno Simon to pursue non-violence *Have lunch on own before traveling to Eisenach for a group dinner and overnight (B, D)

Day 9 *Tour Eisenach, birthplace of Bach and where Luther grew up Nearby is Wartburg Castle, where Luther translated the Bible into German *Have lunch on own in Eisenach *Drive to Nuremberg for a group dinner in Old Town with its famous sausages *Overnight in Nuremberg (B, D)

Day 10 *Have a guided tour of Nuremberg, a major Anabaptist center from 1515 *Drive to Augsburg where Anabaptists were free to worship Adult baptisms began in 1526-28. *Lunch on your own before driving to Zurich *Enjoy a group dinner and overnight in Zurich (1st of 2 nights) (B, D)

Day 11 *Visit Rhine Falls near Zurich, the most powerful waterfall in Europe *Opt to take a boat ride up to the Falls *Lunch on own *Drive to nearby Schleitheim, where the Schleitheim Confession was written in 1527 This statement was the most representative of Anabaptist principles. *Tour the museum that has an original copy *Return to Zurich for free time to explore Old Town, Zwingli’s Grossmünster Church (1100 AD), shops along the Limmat river *Enjoy a group farewell dinner and overnight in Zurich (B, D)
