Day 1 *Travel northeast out of PA and NJ, arriving at historic Thayer Hotel for lunch, followed by a tour of West Point Military Academy, where you will hear the story of West Point beginning in 1778 during the Revolutionary War, to the present *Enjoy dinner at a waterfront restaurant in Kingston, NY *Overnight in Kingston (1st of 3 nights) (L)

Day 2 *Visit the Franklin D. Roosevelt Home Library & Museum, followed by a guided tour of FDR’s boyhood home in Springwood *Lunch on your own in the quaint town of Rhinebeck with a visit to the Rhinebeck Aerodrome *Have a guided tour to visit Val-Kill, home of Eleanor Roosevelt *Dine in Hyde Park (B, D)

Day 3 *Drive to Hyde Park for a classroom-based session with Culinary Institute of America students, a tasting exercise and walking tour of the CIA building *Lunch at one of the famous restaurants at CIA followed by a guided tour of the historic Vanderbilt Mansion, a home built for the aristocratic lifestyle A guide will lead you as you experience the Walkway over the Hudson, which is the World’s Longest Elevated Pedestrian Bridge, spanning the Hudson River between Poughkeepsie and Highland, New York, in the beautiful Hudson Valley. *Dine on your own in New Paltz (B, L)

Day 4 *Start your day with a guided tour of Olana, the unique home of Hudson River painter Frederic Edwin Church *Enjoy an included lunch in Kingston *Take a 90-minute river cruise along the Hudson (B, L)
