Day 1 *Travel west to Pittsburgh for a stop at the National Aviary, encountering exotic, rare, and endangered birds up close *Explore the Aviary on your own *Watch a live bird show *Check into the luxurious Berlin Encore Hotel in the Ohio Amish area *Have dinner and private tour at the David Warther Museum, viewing various amazing carvings of ivory ships *Overnight in Millersburg, OH (1st of 3 nights) (D)
Day 2 *Have a backroads tour with a local guide, born and raised in the area and an expert of Amish & Mennonite culture *Visit Behalt-Amish & Mennonite Information Center for a guided tour of this fabulous mural and view a film on the lifestyle of the local people *Tour Victorian Mansion, a unique home and step next door to be impressed by the collection of Millersburg Glass *Stop at Troyer’s Sweet Shoppe, where you will satisfy your sweet tooth with delicious selections of truffles, fudge and the famous local “buckeyes” *Lunch on your own in downtown Berlin *See the world’s largest Cuckoo Clock *Dine in an Amish Home, enjoying a family- style feast and fellowship with the family (B, D)
Day 3 *Arrive at The Farm at Walnut Creek for an hour-long horse drawn wagon ride through the farm to feed 400 exotic animals *Walk to the big farmhouse to visit the Amish women at work *Visit Walnut Creek Cheese, the largest bulk food store in the area that also boasts the best ice cream *Watch the spectacular show at The Ohio Star Theater featuring “Ruth” (a Sight & Sound Theatre original production) *Enjoy a buffet dinner at Dutch Valley (B, D)
Day 4 *Tour Famous Endings Museum, a unique attraction dedicated to a collection of funeral memorabilia of celebrities and persons of interest Begun as a hobby by the owner of Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, it has become a popular attraction and a must-see to believe! *Arrive in Pittsburgh, PA, for a stop at the Steelers Museum of Honor for a self-guided tour of the exhibits, including a step onto the Acrisure Stadium football field (B, L)
