Day 1 *Board your overnight flight

Day 2 *Arrive in Florence, meet your Tour Director and transfer to your hotel in the Tuscan resort and spa town of Montecatini Terme for a five-night stay *Enjoy a Welcome Dinner of Tuscan favorites with your fellow travelers *Overnight in Montecatini Terme (D)

Day 3 *Explore the Old Town of Lucca, filled with quaint shops and Gothic palaces, the Gothic time just before the Renaissance, seeing stunning architecture from that period *Visit one of the famous cities in Italy, Pisa, strolling into the Piazza Dei Miracoli to see the Suomo, the historic Baptistry and the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa The tower is 180 feet high and no less than 13 feet off of the perpendicular; an amazing sight to see. *Stop for a Tuscan Winery Visit & Tasting experience, learning about and sampling a selection of local wines *Enjoy stunning views of the vineyards and continue through the lush countryside en route to your Montecatini Terme hotel *Overnight Montecatini Terme (B)

Day 6 *Travel to Siena, the heart of Tuscany *Enjoy a Siena Walking Tour, strolling the medieval streets to the dramatic Campo, scene of the annual Palio horse race *See the town’s famous black and white striped cathedral and have free time at leisure *Drive to the famous hilltop town of San Gimignano, one of the most picturesque of Italy’s perfectly preserved medieval towns with medieval towers *Stroll through the quaint streets and visit Piazza della Cisterna, one of Italy’s most beautiful town squares *Relax at your hotel or step out to a local restaurant and enjoy the wonderful tastes of Tuscany *Overnight in Montecatini Terme

Day 7 *Drive south into the Umbrian countryside to Assisi for an Assisi Walking Tour, seeing the great Basilica of St. Francis, associated with St. Francis, who was born here in 1182 *Travel to Rome and check in for a two-night stay The Eternal City, the capital and largest city in Italy and a center of power and religion, has exerted a huge influence over the world *Overnight in Rome (B)

Day 8 *Enjoy a Rome City Tour, seeing some of the highlights of Ancient Rome including the Colosseum, The Arch of Constantine, Circus Maximus, Piazza Venezia and the Pantheon *Visit St. Peters Basilica in Vatican City, the papal enclave within the city of Rome *Have an afternoon of leisure to explore the Eternal City on you own opting for a cappuccino, a visit to the Treasures of the Vatican Museum, home to Michelangelo’s impressive Sistine Chapel *Enjoy a Roman Farewell Dinner *Overnight in Rome (B, D)
