Stop at Portland Head Light, one of the most photographed lighthouses in the country. Continue to Freeport Village, home of L.L. Bean’s flagship store, for free time and lunch on your own. Overnight near Bar Harbor, ME (B, D)

Day 3
Tour Acadia National Park with a guide including Cadillac Mountain. Take in the sweeping coastal views and dramatic granite landscapes that make Acadia one of the East Coast’s most beloved national parks. Enter Canada in the historic city of Saint John, New Brunswick. Enjoy a narrated city tour, including a visit to Reversing Falls, a unique phenomenon created by the Bay of Fundy’s powerful tides. Day 4
Visit Hopewell Rocks to enjoy incredible views of the tides and have the opportunity to walk the ocean floor. Head to Prince Edward Island over Confederation Bridge for dinner. Day 5
Enjoy a guided walking tour of Charlottetown, exploring downtown before journeying along the North Shore. Drive by the red cliffs, white beaches, and sloping dunes of Prince Edward Island National Park and visit Anne of Green Gables Heritage Place, the inspiration of the classic books. Ferry across the Northumberland Strait to Nova Scotia. Cross the Canso Causeway to Cape Breton, visiting a museum featuring one of its most famous residents; Alexander Graham Bell. Overnight Baddeck, NS (1st of 2 nights) (B, D)

Day 7
Explore the wonders of the Cabot Trail with scenic views of the ocean and weaving in and out of the Cape Breton Highlands. Visit small towns along the Trail including the French Acadian village of Cheticamp, known for hooked crafts. Enjoy lunch today at one of the great restaurants along the Cabot Trail. Head to Peggy’s Cove for breakfast, overlooking the lighthouse and granite landscape with time to explore.
